    Mass / NE Hang/Hike?

Finally got a Saturday off the second job! YAY! Now I can take the Friday off the real job, and plan a hike/hang someplace in New England!

Anyone interested in a potential hang or hike on short notice? Next weekend, the 20th, 21st, 22nd?

I need to get a new backpack - the Six Moons Design Spirit is on long backorder - but I will pick another one up by then. This will be my last hang before I ship the HH Exped to Tim and Donna for the Mod 4 upgrade.

SO - where to go? Mass? NH? ME? VT? CT? NY? Decisions, decisions.....

I'll keep checking the thread over the week.

I may have some interest depending what destination is picked.

All the destinations look great. Manditory OT might put a squash on any of my plans for a weekend hike. I'll keep an eye on this thread.

    Chaaaz,
I would love to but, I am babysitting three birds and a dog till the first of Sept.
I took a ride over to Grout Pond on the dirt bike this today. The place was packed. Maybe next month.

Thanks, for the interest, guys! I asked the Ewok (ground dweller...will be her first time in a tent, in the woods, overnight, etc) if she wanted to go. SO far she does. Unless, of course, she doesn't. 17 Year Old brain connections will dictate the final answer.

I tried-on an REI Flash 65 tonight, with about 35 lbs in it. Liked it! May get that one tomorrow, dunno yet. Pretty cool pack, though.

I will post the trip details here if it happens. So far, it's a go, for someplace! Suggestions?

    Mt. Race

    Suggestions -

I just got back from a 3-day section of the AT near the MA/CT border and the cliffs on Mt Race were tremendous.

There are a few trail from rt 41 to get in and a number of shelters on the ridge.

If you wanted to stealth camp, so many perfect spots for a hammock.
