ENO Double Nest Structural Ridge Line

Converting to Whoopie Slings... How is the best / proper way to attach the SRL after the WSlings are attached to the hammock??? I understand that the small fixed loop should not be used to bear weight; how should I attach that end to a carabiner??? (Bush answered earlier questions (Thanks) but attaching the SRL seems to differ for different hammocks?)

    Thanks!!!

If you have a fixed eye on the ends of your ridgeline, then just use that loop on each end to form a larks-head knot around the whoopie sling (where it exits the hammock end channel).

If there are no loops on the end of your ridgeline, then either create them with a splice or tie a loop to create one.

Thanks, angrysparrow... the SRL is adjustable with a fixed closed loop on one end and the large adjustable loop on the other... I can attach the fixed loop directly to the Whoopie being used for suspension??? Or, should I attach it to the heavy cord that now has the carabiner previously used to attach to the webbing around the tree?? On the adj loop end, can I use a carabiner and attach to either the suspension Whoopie or the heavy cord?? My lack of knowledge is making my questions less than clear, I am afraid!!!

    Thanks.... Arvis

top left is my whoopie sling, top right is my SRL. bottom right is the hammock. bottom left is just a drip line. ring is a SMC ring.

Does your ENO still have the stock rope in the end channels of the hammock?
You can ditch that heavy rope and simply feed the fixed eye of the whoopie sling through the end channel and girth hitch it and then girth hitch the fixed loop of your SRL around the whoopie sling where it leaves the hammock end. On the other end feed the whoopie sling through the end channel then through adjustable loop of your SRL then complete the girth hitch on the whoopie sling.

Thanks, Nate & odds!!! Yes, odds, the stock rope is still in the hammock...just haven't gotten up the courage yet to follow your suggestion...but, I will!!!
Thanks for the links, Nate... I will have some questions about your setup after I try to noddle through that method... I like the rings!!!
