4th Annual New Jersey Winter Hang. 01-28-2011 to 01-30-2011

We were a week off from getting the good snow last year.

Just an update:
We will have plenty of wood. We will, once again, be bringing a trailer full of wood down. There will be a gas grill(this year we will have propane to go with it). We will be down early on Friday setting up the cooking area.

I also want people's opinion on this. I was thinking, since we are in the pine barrens and all, that a Saturday night screening of the masterpiece "The 13th child" would be in order. We have a way to show it, just was wondering if anyone would be interested. Let me know.

I prefer the sounds of a fire and conversation to the sound of a movie. But that's just me.

What if we did it before dinner?

Oh, we are going to shoot for a 6:00 dinner time. This gives those cooking a time to shoot for to have their food cooked.

Just a note on the movie. It's a bad movie about the Jersey Devil. It is always good for a few laughs. I originally saw it as a preview before it was supposed to be released. It never made it's national release because it got poor reviews.

(Can a mod change the title to reflect it's the 4th annual not 3rd)

sounds like fun! i will try to be there, good excuse to get some more winter gear together...a field trip to the "blue hole" may be in order to find the elusive jersey devil!

i will be there (i camp in the pines every chance i get, sometimes 4 or 5 weekends in a row). i think the movie is a bad idea. i think you can survive a weekend without a movie. i suggest waiting till dark, starting a fire, and telling the story the way its supposed to be told.

I agree, but we were talking last year and the movie came up a few times. I just wanted to see what everyone thought, not that I wanted to do it because I can't go a weekend without a movie.
