    Grand Trunk Ultra-Light Travel Hammock

Was checking on what peoples thoughts were, I was going to get my kids a Grand Trunk Ultra Light Travel Hammock and was wandering what everyones thoughts were on that and also I was looking at a Grand Trunk Skeeter Beeter for my wife? Yes or No, Maybe? Just curious on thoughts.

I love the GT Ultralight and have purchased about 8 of them for family and friends. They are a great all-around hammock for a good price, especially for people checking out hammocking. I think they are a great deal.

The GT Ultralight is often in my pack when I go backpacking.

I have both the ultra light as well as the Skeeter Beeter. Both are good hammocks. Only thing I would do is change out the rope and hook for a stronger system.

I have a GT Nano 7 and slept in it on Saturday. The Nano 7 is only 6 inches shorter and 6 inches narrower than the ultra light but is half the weight. It is 3x the cost though If you can get the hang just right, it should be a good hammock.

i'd be curious to know what the weight difference is between the nano and the ultralight for just the fabric hammock itself. anybody know?

From their website the Nano7 weigh .419lbs and the ultra light weighs .75lbs. I have the Nano7 as well as the Skeeter Beeter Pro and I use both and the company's customer service is superb.

In case you didn't see the link I had posted: http://www.bargainoutfitters.com/net...?a=435127&pn=1

I think mine was something like $20.19 after shipping.

Nothing new here, I like my ultralight as well. I made a bugnet for $5 from thulle and haven't had any problems yet.

My Ultralight is hung in my basement and gets regular use. There are a few things I'd change if I were to take it on the trail, but for my use it is excellent. I prefer it over my larger ENOs because the fabric is softer
