Title says it all. I have not made a hammock, but I want to. I rooted around and came to this forum. I would be interested at some point, in having a cuben fiber cloth group buy--to make it cheaper. I want to build a hexamid-analog tent as well as a hammock. I'll be looking around here for ideas.

Welcome you have come to the right place to find out about making hammocks. Once you send a night or two in a hommock. You will forget all about wanting to make a tent.

I do some hanging with forum member Oh-No and he's played around a lot with cuben. I think in the end he decided it doesn't have enough abrasion/wear resistance to be a good hammock material. He does still use it for other things.
