    still trying to decide

Ok all you expert hangers out there. I'm still trying to decide which hammock to buy, the clark or the hennesy. One my first post I heard from a lot of who like the warbird but didn't hear one word about either of the two above. I'm a big guy, 6 foot at 300 lbs and would really like to opinions on these two. So give me some feedback, ok.

I have used an HH Asym for years, and was very happy with it. I did a few mods to mine-I had zippers put in, and did a suspension upgrade. Overall, its a great hammock. I would suggest getting the newer one with the zipper mods already done-that was the absolute best upgrade I couldve done on mine.
As for the Clark, I have no experience with, sorry.

Which clark and which hennesy are you considering? I've laid in 2 clarks (nx 200 and nx250) and 1 hennesy (explorer ultralght) for about 10 minutes each. At 6'3'' and 215 lbs I found the clark nx 200 way to small and uncomfortable. The nx 250 was nice and the hennesy explorer was even better. Both are great hammocks manufacturers in my opinion. If your crazy about your product being made in the U.S go with the clark

    Totally different styles of hammocks.

Clarks seem to lend themselves more to the straight down the middle sleepers. Some folks report sleeping diagonal in them without problem. I couldn't find a comfortable diagonal lay in any of the Clarks, save the Vertex. That's not a bad thing if you're a straight sleeper. The Clarks are, IMO, very well built. I've heard from a couple of members here about quality issues, but I think those situations are the exceptions, not the norm. Tough price tag to swallow, but there is plenty of value there if they work for you.

The HHs are, obviously, built for the diagonal sleeper. They are very handy, since they come with a tarp and are pretty easy to get setup, even for newbs. My first camping hammock was a HH and I think I have about 6 of them in my gear room. I help lots of new hangers get set out here in Colorado. The HH prices and ease of use make it an attractive hammock for new hangers. They are solid hammocks. Quality isn't as high as the Clarks IMO, but they will still take a beating.

BTW, it's a Warbonnet Blackbird. But I like "Warbird".

If you get an HH, consider one with the side zipper.

    BBC:
I am a CJH owner in your size range and find the NX-200, 250's were not available to purchase, to be a very comfortable and quite roomy hammock. I have over 50 hangs in mine and have always gotten a great nights sleep. Like others have stated, they are pricey but you do get a whole package deal. I like the lay of the hammock and have found the correct sweet hanging set-up. I have no experience with a Henessey, so I will only say that you cannot go wrong with the Clark Jungle Hammocks.
