    DIY Tarp video

Well as promised - #1 of my projects is done.
Tested out in my yard today
excuse the poor cell phone video
I did a little narration but when I uploaded to youtube it was gone

I used the prusik method shown in this thread
    http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=16650

    - cut an aluminum arrow to use as stakes with duct tape rolled around the arrow a few times about 1.5 inches from the top.
    - the guylines have ladder locks I got from arrowhead equipment

The ridgeline measures about 10' 5"

how much does it weight you ask? This ain't your gram weenies tarp

Thanks - it should keep me dry + have room to move around.
its mainly for when I go out on field exercises with State guard

I left it outside - hoping it will rain
its been so dry here - I'll probably make it rain with the hose tmwr.

Looks good. In my opinion, if there is one area where a little extra weight is warranted it is the tarp. I like to keep dry in the bush.

Great tarp! You do nice work. I like the ACU fabric a lot.

My only question is why didn't you just tie off to that tree, instead of using a stake?

HA! yes, plenty of trees to tie off to.
Was testing the guy lines as I just added the ladder locks

Oh! if you were able to look at the stitching closer -- it's not pretty - but evidently functions & hangs properly

Nice work ... and good thing about camo ... hides crooked seams too!

    Thanks for sharing!

Very nice!! I see the ridgeline measures 10' 5", What is the overall size of the tarp? Looks like great coverage.
