    Arrohead Equipment Dinner bivy

Can anyone tell me for sure if the 1 or 2 serving mountain house meals will fit in the super dinner bivy from arrowhead equipment http://arrowheadequipment.webs.com/a...s/show/1235244
It seems like the one serving should fit but I'm curious on the 2 serving meals. I just want to be sure before ordering. Thanks

I dont know the answer to your ? but I would PM pgibson (Paul is his name) and im sure he'll be more then happy to answer. He's a real nice guy. and makes great equipment.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Thanks, I have done that but Paul has higher taste than mountain house meals and lacked having any to test with! He says it should fit but I thought I would get a for sure statement if anyone could provide it.

It fits in the bivy but sticks out some. I didn't try to close the bivy, just used it to keep the heat in and keep the bag upright.
This was a Backpackers pantry but I had the Mountain house 2 entree beef stew and it fit the same.
This bivy is definitely a keeper for me

No problem. Had the pic from my last outing on Mount Greylock.

If you want a better pick I can pull out a 2 serving bag and get a better shot. Just let me know.

Am I missing something about the purpose of the dinner bivy? My experience with these type of meals is once you add the water and let it hydrate, the meal remains hot until Im done... havent had my meal get cool. Is it just that Im a fast eater?

In my experience the meal is ready to eat quicker with the bivy holding the heat in after adding water. Also think foods that need to cook for a while like rice etc. You can use less fuel by using the bivy to retain heat. I've never been accused of being a chef, maybe others can chime in with some good examples.
