    Bug Sock Version 3.1

I've been working on my bug net sock. The idea was to make it a little more tailored to the hammock so that there is less sag on the top. Here are the plans:

and here is a little video about it:

Thanks. I went with a lighter color this time because I read somewhere that skeeters like dark clothing more than light colored material. By changing the shape of the net I made the fabric more efficient and therefore cut down on weight.

Rock (or anyone), do you know the weight of the tulle per sq yard?
My knife is so sharp it cut the sixth finger off my right hand! On the plus side, Inigo Montoya no longer hunts me.

The stuff I used last time weighed .26oz.
I've got a new batch in the mail right now, so I'll be anxious to get a weight on it.

I've got a piece here at the house that weighs in at ~0.31 oz per sq yard.

I just finished one tonight using almost the same pattern. I went 48" deep for a little more room and made it out of one single piece of tulle. I added the mitten hook behind the cordlock. Gotta look into a flap at the head end for Happy Camper. I'll try to get a weight & photo tomorrow. My scale at home is only accurate within 5 grams.
