    Browning Hill

OK, had an opportunity to head out to Browning Hill and spent a couple of nights. I set up about 30 yards or so from the rock formation.
I arrived just after noon, and set up my camp. cleared off an area for a small fire, and worked on perfecting my tarp/hammock set up.
after a couple hours of "tweeking" in the set up, i had decided it was the best I can do....
On every camp-out, I always eat well on the first night, it consisted of a NY Strip, baked potato, grilled onions and mushrooms, and an ice cold bottle of coke. desert was some dried cranberries mixed with honey, brown sugar heated and poured over sliced pears and banannas....good dinner.
Just before dark, I did hear some interesting sounds coming from the west side of the rock formations, almost to the point of thinking someone was going to join me for camp. No one ever camp up, or around the rocks.....it could have been a deer....
10:00 pm sipping earl grey tea, and reading, I hear someone call my name. so life like I, without question, answered by yelling over here. No one came. I got up, looked around and nothing was near me.
12:00 tired, I decide to slide into the ENO and settle in for the night. I drift off to sleep.
2:30 am I am awaken by someone calling my name again. I call back.. this time it was coming from the rock formation. I walk over there and find nothing. I did notice the wind blowing stronger there....I pass it on to nothing more than happenstance. walking back to the ENO I noticed my fire is dying down so I stoke it up some...nothing big...just enough to keep the skeeters away.
4:00 a.m. I am awaken again by my hammock ( and I ) swinging as though someone has pushed me. I mean I was swinging hard....and nothing more than a light breeeze. again, someone yells my name....this time my responce is " GO LAY DOWN" the responce I get is "NO"....now someone is playing games with me.....I grab my flashlight, and a look all around the place...NO one is around me.....
This time I stoke the fire, and stay awake. I listen for anything....nothing happens.
It's getting day light now.....by 7 am I fixing breakfast and relaxing.
All day I spend looking around the rocks....nothing out of the ordinary. I do a little hiking, do a little munching of good snacks, and do alot of reading ( yep I love to read )
It's 8 pm and dinner time, tonight is it mac and cheese, beef stew, and apple sauce. cheese and crackers, and a brownie was also munched on...not to bad...
10:00 pm sounds coming from the rocks....I snap pictures close to 20 of them.
12:00 I drift off to sleep in the hammock....and I keep the camera on...this time using the video, and it's trained on me.
2:00 am I awake swinging again...this time not as hard, but swinging all the same. I get out, and check the camera. nothing....I look closely, and see the batteries are on the ground. interesting.
3:00 am I am still awake, and taking videos and pictures of the area about every 2 minutes.
5:00 am I drift back off to sleep, and awake at 9 am. nothing else happened

I arrive at home near noon, clean all the gear, pack it away, and settle in to view the pictures....out of 350 pictures and better than 2 hours of video...I have 1 pictures that usable, and no video at all.....
    IN a nut shell....
Heard voices....was rocked a few times, and head strange noises and sounds. is it haunted......didn't see anything....so i still can't say it is....
Going again in a few weeks......anyone up for it

Good stuff Jerry. And an excellent spot to hang. I didn't see any ghosts when I was there.

I think I'd have made it to 02:32 and then got the hell out of there.

You go to this camp solo ?

Good link Optimator. Yes, thats the place. In the link they mentioned no birds or wildlife. We noticed the same thing. Not one critter or bird chirping?? Odd.

So what the heck is this? A joke? It's not April 1st is it? Or is the place supposed to be haunted?

All I can say is you must have b*lls the size of basketballs if you continued sleep there after what you described.

Yes I was solo on the hang.....

the very first time i heard something my hair stood on end....but I was over 1/2 mile from the truck, and I wasn't gonna leave my gear...

Interesting read, I want to learn more about this place...

After thinking it over, i DIDN"T see any animals or birds on the hill...interesting.

I am ready to go again.....
