What are the differences between the two double hammocks?
Aside from suspensions that is...I already plan to use webbing and descenders...
Are they close to the same size? Same construction?
Thanks...

i hear aside from the suspension, they might as well have the same name. not sure about dimensions though. fabric is the same, and they are both rectangles, and they obviously both have the same decorative "stripes" on the sides, and they are both imported from overseas i think.
I'd bet they're probably made in the same factory... Its not uncommon with overseas manufacturers to sell a product to several buyers once they start making it for one. Often the other production isn't as good a quality as the original specification, but it may be.
Aside from either ENO or TrekLite, there are several other brands that appear to be the same design.
There is one from Indonesia called TicketoTheMoon Hammocks that has pics of theirs being sewn and packed on their US site(scroll down). They have a larger color variety than the other vendors, so it makes me wonder if they don't 'make' other brands as well.
I've thought of buying one of their 'King Sized' ones (even bigger than a double) just to see if they are made the same as the ENO, but according to their website there is no proper US distributor yet so shipping from them is very expensive.

I've not noticed any real difference between the two brands. I have an ENO DoubleNest and a Trek Light Double. Different colors, but that's about it. They are both great hammocks and I use them at home a lot.
Bliss Hammocks is another manufacturer with a similar looking hammock to ENO's, Trek, etc....

I have a "Nomad's Hammockland" hammock also made in Indonesia that appears to be identical.
Same material and construction, same suspension ropes as Trek...etc...
I have a "bali and java" hammock that also looks alot like a treklight and eno.
Wow, I'd like to know what ONE company makes all of these and where it is, if it's true they're all made by the same one.

If they are from the same manufacturer then I would look at the warranty when buying. I don't know what the diferent companies offer as warranties, so this is just an example. If ENO and Trecklight offer a 2 year warranty, and the other brands only offer 1 year, then get the ENO or Trecklight. Any hammock that doesn't pass their quality control may be sold to the companies with the lower warranty.
Not a professionl opinion, just a thought.
