Can't wait to check out all the new hammocks and gear! whoo hoo!

Especially Bearpaw's DIY underquilt. Sounds intriging. I have one, but need one for my hubby. Also, need some help with the whole whoopie sling thing... I had a bad experience with mine (tore my hammock and found it very hard to adjust... maybe it was just me, who knows....haha!) but looking for some help with that.

    See you guys soon.

On a related note...where are you planning to hike, and would you mind some company?
I don't remember the name of the section, but Sweetpea can probably help me find the spot, again. There is a parking area, outside of town, where you can cross the street and get back on the AT. The hike is from there, back to town. It's about 5 miles, or so. Maybe we can get a group to go. It's not a difficult section, at least until you get back to the Lover's Leap section.

Is it just going to be you?

Our vehicle is already full, or I would say come with us. Hope you can make it. We need some more Eastern NC representation at the hang.

Parking at Tanyard Gap, hiking to Hot Springs SOBO is around 5 miles. Is this the hike your thinking of SHREK? The one we did at the last hang out?

Also, if you wanted, you could still park at Tanyard Gap hike the opposite way, climb up to Rich Mountain and the up to the fire tower. Great views up there, then come back down on Roundtop Ridge Trail (all down hill) into Hot Springs. Another 5 mile section.
