    using wool blanket in hammock

    any opinions on using a heavy weight wool blanket under my sleeping bag inside a hammock? Of course, this would not be for backpacking, only canoe or car camping.

    I think it'll probably stay bunched up into a wad and not very comfortable or warm, try it and see.

    I used a wool blanket under me in a hammock for a few nights. It worked fine, but I do not move very much when I sleep in a hammock. If you have a tendency to move around in your sleep then I think Take-a-knee is right; it's likely to bunch up under you.

    Yeah slowhike I've used a blanket wrapped around my hammock like that with really good results. But, I think he's talking about laying directly on top of the blanket.

    oh, i see. yeah that would probably get bunched up if a person moved around much.
    but if a person was willing to sew it to the top edges of the hammock...
