I'm planning my next adventure into the wilds and wanted to see if there is any interest from others here on HF. I'm thinking of three days/nights paddle down the Manistee River near Grayling MI. Staying mostly at state forest (SF) campgrounds on the way but I haven't ruled out dispersed primitive camping as an option if there is interest.

Tenative plan is to meet either at CCC or Upper Manistee River State Forest Camp on a Thursday evening. Have a few drinks and dinner as well as a meet and greet before heading to bed. Friday morning head down stream to another SF camp, those that can't make it Thursday could meet us Friday evening at next SF camp. Repeat the plan on Saturday heading further down stream with more good food and beverages Saturday evening. Short easy paddle Sunday to take-out to get everyone home early afternoon depending on drive.

Thinking sometime in early October would be cool with fall colors and cooler nights. Give me a reason to start looking at UQ project...

Let me know if there is any interest in joining me....

Paul...
