I'd build a fire every evening and listen to the whipporwill

Great trip and wonderful pictures!
I was on many of the same roads on several bicycle tours of the Highlands. Of course, I was dragging a B.O.B. trailer behind my mountain bike, so I was unable to bring as many....ahem...amenities as you did. And my last trip was at the time when I was just toying with hammocks, so I was forced to sleep in a tent. I often wonder how much better I would have felt if I had spent the nights in a hammock instead of on the ground.
On several trips I have made use of the Cranberry River road to ride from the Scenic Highway down to teh lower gate, an option not available to you. But that was when I was younger and thinner!
Good trip!

Nice pics there going crazy with them wells one blew contaminating the water source at one of the trails I hike grrr
@poppabear...thank you. we had a great time.
@medicjimr...I hear ya about the push for new wells. they're cropping up everywhere and generally wreak havoc in the process.
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed them.
I made pretty good use of the road along the Cranberry years ago in grad school when I did the WVDNR benthic macroinvertebrate baseline study before the limers were installed...I was considerable younger and thinnner then too.
