I want to thank everyone for the encouragement and compliments I have been getting through the emails that are coming in. I don't really have time to respond to the emails but I just wanted to say thanks.

    nice work!

HC4U that map looks like way too much fun. I'd heard that the interface to Google maps was easy to use, I better not look at the API else there goes another chunk of my time... Thanks for the effort.

I've been waiting and waiting for somelse to point out the obvious, or maybe it's just "obvious" to me. Those symbols for locations of planned events. Well, they look like ta, ah, ta, I mean ten, lemme try again, tennnn. Dang it, can't do it. You know those things we all swore off?

If you can pop your own graphics in there I'm sure there's any one of a number of us that could gin up a .gif or .png or whatever of a campfire, or camo Jetboil or something.

I know, I know . It's a tent but since writing this I have updated those points with a new icon. You will see that the BSF, Smokies, and Mt Rogers now have the "hiker" and RRG has the "campfire". Better?

Which do you like better? Hiker or Camp Fire?

Also I saw this article on the net yesterdaY. Grizz, be prepared to waste some time! I present to you:

I'd curse you ( ) except this seems just the thing to pass the time in dull group meetings. Of which I have one in 40 minutes. so thanks anyway

This thing is starting to look nice and having the link on the homepage is very cool!

As long as the tents are gone, I don't have a preference; although the camo jetboil concept sounds kind of fun.

Try just the campfire. Too many hikers make it look crowded.
