You could flip the nut / replace the nut, remove the pickguard with a bit of heat, and restring it, bing bang boom a right hand guitar (except 'cos its a daft looking *fender headstock is upside down)

*on an acoustic, that is.

You should be able to get a good quality vintage Yamaha acoustic in a trade. No sense in trading for an electric guitar. I mean you can make an electric. All you need is a washboard, a couple of strings, a diehard battery and a series of switches hooked up to a speaker. Oh yes, and a hammer.
