really? Just walked thru that campground last weekend... paced out a few pairs of trees on site 1 that would work. Site 5 too... Not many choices, thats true. Its the campground near the enviromental center. I dont think I would want to camp there because its right next to a residential area.
Thats one of the reasons I went ahead and cleared brush in the backyard to have my own campground!
Campgrounds can be so hit or miss. It often depends on teh site. I have asked if I can see what is available and pick a site.

Then maybe it wasn't my imagination. It's funny because when I called the administrative office to ask about the LCP sites I was put on hold while the lady went to ask, presumably, someone who knew, and was told that the sites are really for tent campers. I felt very much like I was being told, trees or no, I wasn't welcome. But, whatever, I thanked her and hung up. I wonder if she was imagining a knotted rope tropical island hammock and frozen cocktails....
They probably have no clue. Those sites do have cleared areas obviously intended for tents. The trees are along the perimeter of some sites- dont have brush around them. Site 1 has several trees among the grass.
Im guessing people who are so attuned to tenting have tunnel vision and can only see flat areas of grass while we can see beyond that and find nice places to hang!
