    DIY WBBB Componets Question

So I love my OD 1.7 wbbb, but want to make one in Camo... I was wondering if I could tap into you DIY'ers for some knowledge, I have some cool 1.4 camo from stormcrow for the body, I need to source netting, zipper, and that really thin black string he uses for the pull-outs.

    What gauge-or-size zipper is that?

Is that no-seeum - nano-no-seeum- or some other type of bugnet?

what is that cool super skinny black cord?

Feel free to chime in with advice on sources for these materials as well.

I don't have a WBBB so I'm not sure what's used on it but I have a project going and I am using the "make your own" number 8 coil zipper by YKK from questoutfitters. I actually got all my material from them; no-seeum netting and grosgrain ribbon for tie outs.

Does the #8 feel beefy enough? I'd like to go as light as reasonable, but don't want a "wimpy" zipper

When I made my clone I believe I used a #5 zipper. I also think that 2Q and ZQ use a #3 zipper (can't remember exactly). The smaller size is harder for it to come apart and separate randomly.

A number 8 zipper is BIG. I used a number 5 on my recent DIY and I think alot of the folks here actually go with #3 coil.

That is where I bought my zipper. They are super helpful and will put the slides on for you before they ship.

Good luck & post pictures when you are done.

We have been using the #5 coil zipper from Quest for the 3 years we have been doing the zipper mods. We have had no problems! ZQ

    so #5 sounds pretty safe

    so #5 sounds pretty safe,
I'll shopp araound & see if anybody has one in OD green :-)

Does anybody know what the really skinny black cord/string is (side pull-puts on wbbb)?

It feels too thin & soft to be mason's twine (seems to only come in bright colors)

I don't mean the stretchy shock-cord , but the thin black line between the shockcord and the hammock body
