    Chain Links

    I need some help making chain links is there a trick to locking it off or is it just a feed one way then feed the other

    I just use a lanyard knot to make a soft shackle. Works for me so far, but I don't know if this is what you're after.
    oldgringo's reply to my worrying about owning extra hammocks:

    How many pairs of underwear do you own? Do you refer to them as "extras", simply because you're not wearing all of them as we speak?

    If you do a search for Continuous Loop Pictorial (an opie thread), he goes into great detail on how to make them.

    Essentially it is a matter of marking your bury lengths on each end and then insert each end through the mark on the other side to create a simple brummel and then burying the tails as you would normally.

    It's not as neat but if you had to you could always make a loop using two double fisherman's knots.
