I think I just added the first Kansas campground. Woodridge Public Use Area near Clinton Lake (Lawrence), Ks. I've camped there twice, and called the park office to ensure that hammock camping is allowed. Gates are only open during spring/summer, but public access and use is allowed year 'round.
The only rules they wanted to ensure were followed were:
1. Fires in the fire rings only.
2. Cutting timber is not allowed (duh!). Burning of deadfall is permissable, in fire rings only.
3. Pets are permitted.
4. Alcohol is not permitted on the grounds (in reference to drinking, I doubt that alcohol stoves are an issue).
