    Hammock Friendly Campgrounds - Spreadsheet

The "hammock friendly" spots on the spreadsheet for pt reyes national seashore are inaccurate. I updated it. We went off the spreadsheet, got to camp and there were zero trees to be seen. Also created a new thread with pictures at pt reyes showing the good and impossible hammock camp sites

I like this list, Good Idea

I started a spreadsheet where visitors could add their own hammock-friendly campgrounds to the list, but it will only be a valuable resource if people A) desire it and B) contribute.

I like this list, Good Idea, input from all +1 mouse over photo (like you did for cell service info) of camp will go along way.

In response to my question of whether hammocks are allowed in Massachusetts State Campgrounds (MA Division of Conservation and Recreation), I received the following information on July 27th..... They have been getting more requests for hammock camping as time goes on. Hammock camping is allowed at DCR campgrounds – where there are trees of course. That leaves out Salisbury, Horseneck and Scusset Beach State Reservations, possibly one or two others. *If you have any further questions for DCR about camping with hammocks, feel free to contact Anita Wysocki, DCR’s Campground Coordinator at 617-626-1470.

Well as I didn't see any listed for Texas in the spreadsheet, I checked their site and found no references.. I called Texas Parks & Wildlife and was told there should not be any issue hammock camping that you might want to call ahead and when booking a site to make mention of it so you can have a site that meets your request. As a test I called Inks Lake State Park and was told the same, just let us know when your booking your site and we will place you in one that has trees.
