    Mine arrived yesterday!! WooHoo!

I didn't have time to hang it before my wife got home (would have involved a trip to a park - no hanging trees in the yard), but I did pull it out of hte bishop bag and examine it closely - Very nice workmanship, things like the foot box, the shelf, the openings between the two layers - all became clear.

    Now to wait until Christmas!

p.s. The UQ I just put unfolded with my sleeping bags - didn't want it to lie compacted all fall. It's longer than it appeared in the photos, should give very good coverage!

Impeccable! I'm going to overnight in it tonight.

The things Brandon has thought of for this hammock--the high quality shock cord out lines, the ridgeline, the shelf... the fabric, which is very soft. The web straps, which are soft and work in the buckles superbly. Easily the BEST hammock I own.

That's an AHE underquilt Lost River, as it's supposed to be 50F here tonight. And I added a thin foam from Jacks R Better between the two hammock layers, too.

    Sweet!

And here many were under the impression that hammock owning tended toward expensive. Compared to a wife collection the cost is too small to measure!

    Step 1) Intercept package
    Step 2) Remove hammock
Step 3) Re-pack box with brick, newspaper, etc.
Step 4) Wrap package for x-mass
    Step 5) Enjoy the hammock!

I have stuff I want to "hide" from my wife shipped to where I work. Keeps her from opening stuff I ordered for her.

Also some large companies big a break on shipping if shipping to a commercial ( ie. business) address.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

I am having mine shipped to my work. That way I don't come home to a sticky note telling me that UPS has a package for me. Also it gives me an excuse to leave work early when it arrives!

I sorta did this once before - except from another angle. I had gotten her some sapphire earrings for Christmas, but talked about her need for a new desk chair. I went to Staples, and got an empty desk chair box, picked up some twisted metal scrap along the railroad tracks to put inside the box. I "hid" the box in the garage where she would notice it.

The wrapped box showed up next to the Christmas tree, as did a very small box hidden deep in the boughs. When she opened the desk chair box and saw the scrap metal, I pointed out the little box in the tree!

    Very fun!
