Ever heard of this? Squeaky HH?

Out of the blue a couple of days ago, I noticed that when I sit down in my HH, it squeaks and groans like crazy. It sounds bad, but once I lay down all the noise stops. I've had some wild noises before that came from the suspension attachments to my hammock stand 2x4s. But as best I can tell this is coming from the hammock. I first noticed it after I put my pad and space blanket back in the SS undercover. But tonight I took them out and the squeaks continue, at least until I am in and laying down. At which point the noise quits immediately. Crazy!

Tomorrow, before I pack up and head for Neo's shindig, I'll have someone observe as I get in and see if they can tell from the outside where it is coming from. I have looked the hammock over and I can't tell any damage, all looks good.

Any ideas. And don't bother suggesting WD40!

Mice. Got to be mice. No wonder you are always so warm in the hammock. All those mice are dragging in nesting material and adding to the loft under you. I'd leave them there if I were you.

Try a little talc in the end covers where the rope is attached to the hammock.

Well, I admit I hadn't thought of that!

knots can make noise while they tighten up upon weighting.

It's not the hammock it's you. Your just getting old and your joints are talking to ya. Try some Glucosamine and fish oil.
