Hi Arson,
I always enjoy your videos!
just a comment/concern: I would be leery of those hardware store rings and their low weight rating. Some might be sufficient, but there is enough variability in quality that I would fear the weld failing. Also there is no "reserve capacity" built in.
My first susprnsion mods on my HH and ENO were the double rings (SMC descenders) with both straps and ropes. I found that the rings pinched very tight after hanging and did deform the rope somewhat, and they were not as easy to adjust as I thought they should be. Also, with the rope, sometimes they would twist off center end slip a bit if I wasn't careful to keep the ring/ knot (can't remember the name at the moment, Garda hitch??) tight. A slippery half hitch helped a lot.
Eventually I went with the "trendy ones" and converted to the Whoopie Sling. No looking back. I still use a single ring near the hammock end so I can swap out the whoopie in a flash if need be.
Keep the vids coming.

Great job! I was about to PM you to ask when we'd see another video from you!
Good Job Arson! Let us know how it holds up for ya. Looks like you used a fishermans knot to tie your loop pass through the hammock ends. Does this hold up well on the amsteel?
Great Video, Arson.
When I saw that you had 25' of Amsteel from Arrowhead Equipment, I thought you were going to do a video on how to make whoopie slings.
Any reason that you choose not to do that as your suspension?
Cheers
Brian
