    Talking My new setup

Finally have my new Warbonnet Blackbird and O.E.S. tarp set up and wanted to show them off.

Warbonnet Blackbird 1.1 Double Layer in Grey
Whoopie Slings to Dutch Biners to Tree straps with Dutch Clips

O.E.S. 8x10 Cat Cut tarp Silnylon
Kelty TripTease guylines with Tautline hitchs
Nite Ize Small Figure 9 on Prusik knots for tensioning the ridgeline

I'm very happy with the setup for now, the additional tie outs on the tarp allow me to close up the ends. Will be using my MontBell U.L. Super Stretch Down Hugger #2 as my current insulation til I get an UQ. Will probably carry a pad as well in the mean time.

Got some Nite Ize Knotbones that I will probably rig up so self tensioning lines like hawk-eye did in his video.

    Thoughts? Ideas?

Added some more pictures to show off how much closure I can achieve on the ends, and my front porch setup!

One end closed with a simple S biner!

Front porch mode with my Black Diamond Trail Ergo Cork Trekking Poles!

Tied some half hitches into the whoopies in lieu of rain drip strings...

Looks good man! You scored on that tarp! You might want to put some drip lines on those whoopies tho.

tarp looks good! The WB hammock defintely seems the way to go if one wants a fully constructed, bug proof hammock as well. that shelf is just too cool.

i'm anxiously awaiting a Speer Winter Tarp myself. i'm moving on up in the world as you'll may remember that all i had out on Goat Island was the lil blue GT Ultralight. I sent it in for repair/replacement and they sent me a single. i'll probably use the DIY hammock that StormCrow is making for me though on backpacking trips.

What material is your tarp made from? Is it silnylon or spinn?

Bonezone! Looks great to me! I'm anxiously awaiting my WBBB to come in the mail and am currently looking for a good door-close-able tarp. How much was that one?

Setup looks sweet! I love pines - no undergrowth and feels like plush carpeting.
