    Feeler for an Oregon hang.

I was thinking about a little trip to TSF for a weekend hang before the weather gets too nasty. Maybe toward the end of September. Anyone else interested?

I really have no spot, so to speak. I didn't know if anyone else knew a good place or???. I Have hit some of the logging roads around Brown's camp and Jones Creek. I know as far as campgrounds, Jones is a pretty good one at 5 bux/night for a walk in site. I was thinking primitive and free. Any Ideas?

I'd be interested as long as I'm not already committed elsewhere when you do it. I'm for primitive and free also. I've been meaning to camp more in the TSF this year, but I haven't found a great spot yet that I'd recommend. I'm headed up to Mt. Rainer area this weekend, but I might be able to scout a bit next week. We'll see.

I'm pretty flexible on dates. I would prefer it be on a payday weekend, but it doesn't matter. Just want a little more hang time this year yet. It started late and I want my Summer's worth. The free spots I know of, along the logging roads are decent. Just gotta find one with enough trees... During the day, we may hear a few people buzz by on atv's and bikes, but it's still quieter than a park IMO. This weekend, I'm heading about 35 miles out for some tuna fishing, but the rest of the month is open. PM me if you want to set something up. I'll give you my number.

If you go to browns camp be very weary of some of the lesser intellegent people that go there to shoot. I used to spend a lot of time there but stopped going there all together because of a problem i had with some other shooters, that were less then safe. Came very close to me having to shoot someone over being safe and strafing everyone else on the line with a loaded gun. Just my 2 cents worth.

Another idea which might facilitate the planning of this would be a meet-n-greet somewhere in Portland and plan the trip over a few cold ones.

Now I'd be down with that!

At the moment, I have to limit my hiking as I have spurs in my heels. Until I get my new orthonics, I'd have to limit my hike to a few miles at best.

I know the type. I tell ya', I thought there were rednecks back in Texas. I moved to Oregon and OMG! They make us back home look civilized. Most of them I can deal with. I seem to blend well with all types and for some reason, I got along with them.
