Here are some pictures of the new "Typhoon" tarp system that Hennessy is selling. This was my first attempt at setting it up so I only used the two stakes I normally set out for spreading the hammock. However this tarp has a lot of tie out points and you could use a stake with each one if needed. It is a free standing tarp that is initially tied to the trees along the ridge line and is not attached to the hammock. And at each tie out point there are two available shock cords, a short one with a clip so it can be attached to a stake when you want to batten down, and a second much longer cord if you are attaching to trees. For each set of cords there is a pocket on the tarp for the cords to be stuffed into. There aren't any directions yet or pictures of a properly set up Typhoon on the Hennessy website so this is an approximation. Also the doors at each end are separate and are attached to the tarp when needed.
