Buy me one so I don't have to spend $35 on shipping?
Spend more than $10!
...and do a tequila shot.
Trust nobody!
Come home safely!

I ended up buying 2 large and 2 medium hammocks for $100 U.S. I bought the nylon ones over the cotton ones cause they handle the weather better and are almost as comfy. Lots of good hangtime to be had for pretty cheap.

I bought an extra large "matrimonial" hammock on the beach at Zihuatanejo for 900 pesos, around US$75 at the time last April. It was woven by the vendor's grandfather (or maybe that was just Jose Luis' speel to sell me, but it worked on me) with two nylon strings instead of one in each warp, so it's extra thick. I inadvertently haggled because I hadn't brought any more cash down the thirty million steps from the resort to the beach. One detail that I have come to really appreciate is that the strings connecting the main hammock bed to the loops at each end are tied together in a network, so they do not easily get tangled when the hammock is folded up in the bag I use to carry it with me all over the place.
Each person's hammock preference is different, and every hammock is a little bit different, but hopefully from my example and the others in the thread, you'll get an idea of what the price and style points are these days for purchasing in Mexico.
