    Blackbird versus traveler

Well, been a little over a month now of living in my traveler indoors..
Been itching to at least get out into the yard for a fresh air overnighter..
The wind has been really kickin, so widow maker shy as I am I have put it off
til last night Took my black bird instead slapped it up and settled in..
Fellas and ladies, I know some of you say they hang the same, but The difference to me was night and day. They don't call the b.b. a cadillac for nothing.. Low was 50 degrees and I slept. like a rock in hammock bliss..
Still love my traveler, just glad I have both..

I find them equally comfy. Love the shelf though.

Yep, I agree.. But it is probably the footbox that makes the difference..
It is less "Touchy" as far as changing positions of arms- legs, changing
the dynamics of the lay of the hammock and making it easier to get a flatter lay in the process? I am continuing this scientific experimentation just to see exactly what the factors are to achieve nightly cloud like bliss..
If not for me, then for man kind itself!!

Very well, is the young padawan coming along. He shall be master in no time!

YMMV I guess. I use my Traveler as much as I can. I love the roomy openness and the ability to reach on either side to adjust my underquilt. I took my Blackbird on a recent trip due to potential bug concerns and missed the Traveler a lot. I don't see any difference at all in the comfort of the lay between the 2 hammocks. Brandon himself has said that the footbox does not affect the lay, but instead just provides more room so your feet don't touch the bugnet. The shelf is a nice thing, but I really don't miss it that much.

A traveler is the next hammock on my list to get. So many hammocks, so little time...

Rest assured master, once my rig is complete, I will hang with my brothers.
