    Quetico Park

I was extremely fortunate to be invited to go with a group of local college students to Quetico for four days (I was their cook). Their purpose was to clean campsites as part of their eco-tourism course. Of course I brought my hammock, a Hennessy Expedition, and the reaction I got was amazing. Most of the students had never heard of camping hammocks (some of them had never even been camping before! ) and they all wanted to check it out. Once I had it strung up the first night, four or five of the guys wandered over to 'check out my setup' and ask the usual questions about comfort and warmth. By the end of the trip, even the girls were coming over to have a look as I was the only one on the trip without a sore back - I'm 45 and they were between 18 and 31. I was up early and full of energy while they all dragged their butts around and were tired. I fully expect a new group of hangers will be the result of that trip!

p.s. if any of you ever get a chance to check out Quetico (the Canadian side of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in MN), you won't be disappointed, it is absolutely beautiful!

Thank you for cleaning up the wilderness. Its a shame that it needs it in the first place, but it make me happy that some people have chosen to be part of the solution.
Would there be any pictures of this "absolutely beautiful" area??
    Good luck,

I think it is great that you served as a shining ambassador of hammock hanging. Who knows the seeds you have sewn in the minds of those college students. May take root and another generation of hammock hanging converts may be sprouting. I echo the thank you for caring about the environment and doing something about it.

Down in the quick reply box at the bottom of this post you will see a choice that says "go advanced", click it. When you get to the advanced screen scroll down to the "manage attachments" button and click. Brouse for a file to up load, you can do this up to ten times, then click "up load" and close that window once it indicates it has finishe uploading, then you can preview post to see if it worked like you thought it would, then actually post....nothing to it just 100 easy to follow steps Hope that helps.
    Good luck,
