Use of a slack line for foot rest when sitting in hammock

here is a picture of me kicking back in a Trek Light hammock - my feet are supported by a slack line that runs between the rings that the straps tie to. I find this to be very comfortable for sitting around camp.

I'm having trouble getting this link to come up. I'd LIKE to see it though.

well there isn't much to see - just this guy with a white beard and a grin reclining sideways in the hammock with his feet up - looking carefully you can see that there is a line of 550 cord under his feet leading up to the rings at each end of the hammock (rings are actually not seen)

when the line is not used for a foot rest it just hangs under the hammock out of the way

btw this is the hammock I use for my testing of support systems - this time I used the single ring with a girth knot - holds great in the 1 inch polyester straps - relatively easy to adjust but not as easy as the cinch buckle - about the same as the dual rings - I like this approach however - the ring attaches to the rope on the hammock with a simple larks head - don't need a more complicated knot to keep the rope centered unlike the cinch buckle
