    Any weekend plans?

Anyone have any cool weekend plans that we can all be jealous of?

I'll be testing some gear in the backyard this weekend. Lows here are supposed to be in the high 30's with winds 15-20mph.

My plans sound almost exactly like yours....
Test some gear in the backyard.
Lows are supposed to be 45-55.
Should be fun. What kind of stuff are you testing?

Well, one is my new "multi" quilt, which I am going to use as a top quilt this time. But on top of that, I'll have a sock/pod, and will also use my tarp to block some of the wind. My guess is that the mosquitos will have trouble flying too much in the wind, so I'll forgo my mosquito netting...

It's just an excuse to get outside, really.

Gear testing.... If I can get some time away from the home renovations.
    Lows around 25....

Will be (hopefully) experimenting with dual layers, pad systems, tarp hanging/tensioning.... And resting!!!

This weekend is my Mom's 70th birthday and my 2 brothers are in town to celebrate.

Next weekend is a scout campout where I will get to use my ENO for the first time.

The weekend after that, I plan to lay tile in the continuing remodel of my kitchen.
    Peace,
    Joe

Congratulate your mother for me. 70 candles on the cake?

no special plans - same as you - going to cold weather test in the back yard. lows in the high 20's to low 30's both Friday and Saturday so I can get a good comparison between the Clark and Claytor

spend most of Saturday in airports, and airplanes. When home help "celebrate" the event of HLH reaching an age where most states are unwisely willing to accede to him the right to rocket a vehicle down our highways creating risk for all concerned.

Sunday I hope to get the gear out into the yard for some tinkering. Maybe sleep out Sunday p.m. although I'm told I'm supposed to be showered, wide awake and at a conference table at 7:30 a.m. Ugh.
