I like to think we are all sick...of carrying too much weight!
(finally starting to cool down around here, will be able to start walking again, and lighten up the physiognomy...yay!)
I have used straight sandwich bags to cook in. They are a little iffy but for small single amounts it can be done. I wouldn't want to immerse one in boiling water but reconstituting worked ok.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

IMPOSSIBLE JUST TAKES LONGER
Doing lots of little things, some cheap and some costly have helped me cut my pack weight from 50+ lbs to just a hair over 18. It's funny how much that 18 lbs. feels to me now when I pick it up.
I wonder if under 10 lbs. would start to feel like a burden once you got used to it? But instead of "disease" can't we find a more upbeat word to use?
