if i can get my gear figured out and tested, i'd like to go ... although i've got family coming into town on the 22nd, so i'd only be able to do the first night

I could probably come out. I don't get off until at least 7pm, so unless the site is way easy to find a would come Saturday.

Let me know if you need any help with gear. I'm in your area and I've done my share of gear making and such.

I can call you around that time if we cet a spot with cell reception. Or I can scoot up the nearest Mtn. top and call you . We can figure out an ETA an I could meet you at the Brown's camp turn off. Either way. I'm looking forward to seeing y'all there!

i think i've got it going on ... after a bit of tinkering this afternoon i think i've got it going on. it's getting chilly and dark out ... gonna have some dinner and sleep in it tonight.

Silverlion, let's talk more as the date approaches to see if 1- i can make it and 2- the logistics.

funny story, i went into Marine West near the home depot in Tigard to get some cord for my whoopie slings ... i walk in and ask the guy "where's your 1/8" amsteel cord?" the guy raises an eyebrow and responds "another hammocker, eh?" and leads me to cord section ... i was pretty surprised ... he said he gets approximately 4 hammockers a week ... !!!!! i was shocked at that statistic and not sure if i believe it's accuracy ... maybe he meant month?

either way, it was funny to be recognized for such a niche activity ... i was expecting to be more cloaked in obscurity.

That's funny! We've become a presence... heh heh... a recognized, PacNW sub-culture. I love it!
