    New Tarp from Gargoyle

Tweaking my set up and going down the "less is more " road. The tarp is fashioned after the Ogee, except for the missing triangles. Set up can be done with only two stakes. For closing the doors here, I needed to stake down the doors (4 stakes). But my hopes are that you could tie off to the trees with some shockcord and some cordage.
Slight cat cut on the long edges, 8.7 oz. 10' ridgeline attached doors. No ridgeline seam.

Side view, I have the G-bird inside. 100" inch ridge on my hammock, which leaves 10" at each end when centered properly.

Doors shockcorded back, backpack hung from the hammock suspension.

Doors closed, showing how the backpack is covered, up off the ground. Room enough inside to access gear in the pack.

Doors back, only using two stakes. This would be for fair weather, sides are just slightly loose. I'd use the four tie outs for windy weather.

    Doors pulled inside.

Using my ponchotarp as additional coverage, the size is almost perfect. Good wind block if the wind is blowing from this side.

    Tarp, poncho and hammock stuffed.

    Thanks for looking. G

    Thanks guys.
The two stakes will be a fairweather option. Windy conditions will need four stakes plus two for the doors.

Again, the doors can be effectively guyed out to the trees. If they are close..not applicable in my yard. Big spans and the angles don't work, or I need a lot of rope. A trail stick can be used, if you only carry four stakes.

How about a couple of panel pulls on each side like on the Superfly?
What is the material on this proto?
    Width dimensions?

Really not enough material there to justify panel pulls, IMO.

What is the material on this proto?
    1.1 silnylon

    Width dimensions?
64 wide material, minus a little for the hems, so 62 wide. I fit under there fine and have adequate overhead coverage.
Its a minmal tarp, using the poncho gives me some adjustment for side coverage.
