    Hello Everyone!

    Hi,

I'm new to Hammock Forums. I've heard a lot about you guys and gals from many people in the hiking community. I'm currently in southeastern North Carolina which puts me a good ways from hiking in the mountains. I purchased a Hennessy Hammock a year ago hoping to do some camping and hope this forum can help me at overnight camping along with some good ol' trial and error. I've done a lot of day hiking in the Smoky Mountains and some in Western NC. I'm still searching for some essential gear and really could use everyone's help.

Hoping to hear from you in the forums!

A warm welcome to HF is sent your way. This is the right place to learn about hammocks and to pick up hammock camping tips. For starters check out Shug's video series Essentials for Noobs. They are very entertaining and educational. I am sure that you will learn a grunch and laugh a bit at the same time.

Welcome. There are a few things to learn for the best hammocking experience, but once learned, very few people want to give up their hammocks

Thank you, thank you!!! I greatly appreciate your kindness and warm welcome. It looks like I'm already digging in on some information. Shug's videos are great and entertaining Poppa Bear. I appreciate the tip.
