    Nice picture, I have 8ft straps (from Paul) and find them to be the perfect length (but still may be to short for those trees, and also you can always bring along a continious amsteel loop to extend the straps, just keep as much strap around the girth of the tree as possible. Looking forward to the trip report to come.

    Lori's got it right on the money. We stopped by the McKinley Grove on the way out, WOW, those are some big trees!

    I have 20' straps from Paul and I don't think they would even make it around that tree. That is a great pic!!

    getting a tree strap around a tree that size by yourself would look like something out of Benny Hill.
