Hammock How To Series: Intro Video

Hey, gang! I've posted an Intro video for my upcoming "How To" DIY series. I'm super excited to use everything I've learned here as I go forth and make my above ground sleep system. Thanks to everyone for all the great advice! I hope I do y'all proud!

    Creative, Kayt.
Your sleeping bag is definitely not down filled and it will be a big uq. If your planning on backpacking with it, you may want to reconsider the fill choice. It will be good for a summer/car camping uq tho. And good practice.
Good luck, and I'm looking forward to your series.

Oh, excellent catch, Gargoyle! I said "down" when I should have said "100% Polyester batting filled." I will definitely make sure to point that out when I get to my UQ build session. Thanks! And, you are spot on correct... It certainly is not going to be my backpack UQ, but will be a warmer weather truck camping item. But, like you said, I needed a practice project to work out the kinks prior to making my "real" version. At $10 bucks, I figured it would be a great place to make mistakes without remorse or regret. Heh heh. I hope it works out the way I'm envisioning.

Thanks for all the positive support, everybuggy! I'm well on my way into my hammock. I've done several small scale mock-ups and am ready to start on the real thing tomorrow. Stay tuned!!

Thanks for the great video. It will be great watching you go through the projects. I plan on sharing these with our scout troop as we are looking at converting over to diy hammocks.

Great production, easy to see, & easy to hear.

I have the same sleeping bag, but I just put the whole thing in the hammock. I'm lazy like that

    Kayt,

Nice job on the videos. Looking forward to future episodes. I bought the same cord locks yesterday at WalMart... "just to have around".
