It seems were getting alot more "Good deal announcements" in the For Sale section lately. Not that I'm complaining! But what would be the odds of getting a dedicated subforum for that use only? It seems it would keep the For Sale section less cluttered. And it would do away with some of the post heavy threads, like the Eddie Bauer one.

There has been a lot of discussion about this topic (we hear ya) amongst the mods, and to sum it all up, I think the consensus is that it's just not going to be feasible for HF to support a "Gear Deal" forum at this time. I'm sure more will weigh in here as time permits.

In lieu of a dedicated gear deal sub-forum, might be good for people to clearly identify any "gear deal" type posts in the For Sale section? [gear deal] or [GD] or similar in any thread title?

How about a single thread? "Latest Gear Deals"? There are plenty of other long-lived threads on this forum.
i agree with WV on this one, and if its busy enough i dont see why it wouldnt get stickied
