    So, what's the verdict?

At the moment, I'm on the fence between a HH and a WBBB. I checked out Raul's video review and he almost sold me on the WBBB, but the price of the HH is pretty tempting for a hammock noob like myself. I just can't decide...anyway, I'm very interested to hear what you think of your recent purchase.

Just started another thread about the HH Deep Jungle... So far, so good. Very comfortable hammock. I will one day have a WBBB, cuz I love getting gear, but there really isn't a need. I am sure you'd be pretty happy with HH, at least the DJ model.

I have HH Deep Jungle also and it is comfortable. Mine is side zip. A local HF member let me borrow a WBBB and I prefer the Deep Jungle. I don't like the foot box, it limits they way you can lay i.e. head end/foot end and left to right. Also the side tie out is above the zipper, so to sit in the hammock you have to remove the tie out. The shelf is nice in the WBBB, but then I also missed the mesh bag on the ridge line. "To each his own"....

They also seem to be pretty proud of them price wise too. This leaves the Hennessy & Warbonnet. The Hennessy is:

With that said, I have three Warbonnets. Two Blackbirds & one Traveler. Their not for sale

If you are looking at the Deep Jungle, you may also want to consider the Explorer Deluxe. I have one, and I love it.

I just got the BMBH from JRB and I love it, but it is definitely a limo. Because the sides are curved, it's easy to see out of, especially if you use a pillow with it (they provide a blow up pillow, free of charge). I will eventually get a WBBB and I'm dreading the day WB releases their own version of a Bridge. That will be an expensive day for me. Heh heh. Meanwhile, I am enjoying my various DIY hammock accessorizing projects and figuring out the differences between the various styles out there. It really is an art and an individual choice.

My best to you. Can't wait to hear more about your choices.

[QUOTE=Jimmy The Jet;326279]Shug, I'm with ya so far on everything but potted meat.

I'm leaning toward the WBBB, and would love a winter tarp like yours, but I ain't got the patience to add tie-outs.

I found a pole mod to be great addition to a trap. the trap could be shipped from mfg to 2QZQ to add pole mod pockets.

I find it easier than tie outs and fewer lines to trip over (for us slow learners, I trip, turn around and trip again)

    Good luck with your search.

Just added a pole mod to my DIY winter tarp w/ doors. I like it for snow!
The side pull-outs will be good if I have high winds and blowing snow. Found the tarp sways and blows a wee differently with the pole mod.

For cold weather you can't beat the Clarks NX 150/250. I have one and know. For warmer weather I'd say the WBBB. I also have one and know. If I had to live with only one hammock I would not part with my Clark. That weather shield makes all the difference in the world when it's cold. (can you say....Canada!) You can also unzip both the weather shield and the netting if you wish. I bought the WBBB for the comfort and weight and the fact that the majority of my hanging takes place in warmer temps. When those temps drop below freezing...bring on the Clark.

    Miguel

Fortunately, I don't have to make that decision.
