DIY Grizz Beak clones or doors?

Pardon me if there's already a thread on this topic. I searched the sight, as well as a general google search, and didn't find anything.

Have people made DIY beaks or door sets that could be used on a WB Edge? I'm looking forward to this winter, and for trips up to the Adirondacks or White Mountains I'm thinking something like this might be in order. Is there a place I could find info about such a project?

    Thanks!

Here's a link that might help you. It's a thread that discusses the dimensions of the Grizz beaks in such a way that it might help you make some.

Thanks! I gave it a look and it seems like something I could do. Have other people tried that method that might be able to pipe in with tips? It looks fairly simple (famous last words)....

I've been meaning to, but haven't given it a shot yet. I will before Winter hits though.

I cloned them sometime back and put up some pictures of my attempt. They work well and are really easy to do once you get it measured* and cut correctly. The sewing is really simple and quick.

    * If I remember right I made mine all one piece so I didn't have a seam at the ridgeline to deal with. In making them one piece I got my measurements a bit off, so they are not exactly to shape as Grizzs, but they still work really well.

I have used them a couple of times, but haven't been carrying them lately just because the weather hasn't justified it.
