January Campout Location Suggestions

I was wandering what about the New Years Eve trip to Springer. Had a great showing last year. Would be a great opportunity for a larger gathering/ cold gear testing field. I sadly missed most of it (snake bite juice kicked in a bit early, ended up testing my underquilt as a sleeping pad on the ground). It has a good chance of being cold this year. Can't wait to try out my 0* ish system. (under 5 1/2 lbs )

I'd love to do New Years on Springer but my schedule doesn't work out (we close on our house 28 Dec). I'm already pushing it with the wife by going on this one...she gives me "the look" whenever I bring it up.

Carpooling sounds good if the schedules line up.

Well, I'm afarid I'll have to miss this one. It's like a 10 hour drive for me to Mt. Rogers. Maybe next time!

Well Mt Rogers is only 6 hours from Cincy.

Yeah RRG is only about 2 hours away. I was planning to go there sometime soon any ways.
