My wife and I are headed north on Wednesday for a week of SHT day hikes, returning to a rented cabin each night on Lake Superior north of Grand Marais. This is an annual event for us, one we look forward to. We'll do hikes of 7-12 miles or so each day, mixing in some quality time catching up on reading, eating and browsing the local shops. As much as I love to backpack and hammock, it's also VERY nice to do similar hikes and end the day with a hot shower, an adult beverage and a warm bed.

I hope to get out again 10/9 if my WB Traveler that's on order comes. Brandon says it should ship tomorrow or Monday! Looking forward to hanging without a bug net.

I'll answer for him...yes, they are the Bear Grylls Survivor pants. Pretty cool pants, IMO, with lots of handy pockets.
