Need Machine Help, Thread Piling Up

I have thread piling up on the bobbin side of the machine. Checked the way I have the bobbin threaded and everything is correct. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Make sure everything is clean and lubed. Check bobbin tension and thread tension up top. Other than that, may be a timing issue....bout all I got.

You need to adjust the spool thread tension. Make sure the top is threaded correctly and then set the tension for the top some where about the middle of the range. That should help some. From there you can fine tune the top thread tension to get a proper stitch. If this does not help then there is something else going on. Come back with an other explanation and preferably some pics of the problem we'll see what we can do.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

In all probability it is not a bobbin problem. I recommend not messing with the bobbin tension except for very specific issues and this is not one of them. Read the bobbin tension post in my sig for more.

If stitches were missing, this would point to timing. But then the thread would not be piling up underneath. This is a top thread issue or something more sinister inside.

When I had this problem with my fiance's plastic machine, it was either that I had missed a step in threading the spool down to the needle, or the area under the bobbin plate had some fuzzies or something in there buggering things up.

Thanks for the replies. I had the bobbin in coming off the wrong side. That wasn't it. Changed the needle and rethreaded everything. Also pulled out the bobbin assembly just to see if there was something caught up in there. Didn't appear to be. Put it all back together and voila. Worked fine. Just a gremlin I suppose.

Bobbin off the wrong side is a threading error. The first rule of solving a stitch problem is to completely un-thread the machine, do a quick surface clean and then completely re-thread it. Similar to the reboot fix for a computer.

Good advice Rev. Thanks. I was able to get it corrected though I'm not sure what it was. Finished up the little drape project that I took on as practice. They aren't pretty but the end user isn't expecting Ralph Lauren stuff. A blind man would love to see them!!

Ahh. I see. I was having similar issues with mine. I took it in and they fixed it. The tech told me that was what he did to fix mine. He probably didn't want me fixing my own stuff so he misled me. My bad.
