Down and fabric

Is DWR breathable enough for both sides of a down quilt? Or should I use non-DWR for one side?

About ready to place my order for down TQ/UQ materials.

The most important thing is that the fabric is "downproof." That means it will prevent down from leaking through the weave of the fabric. Not all fabric has this quality. I would suggest you purchase the fabric through vendors who can tell you what is downproof and what is not. The vendors who are active with community would be my first choice. The water resistance coating have been known to sometimes cause condensation issues. Other folks can address that issue better than I can.

Thanks Rev. I understand that and use OWF so I'm good there.

I've just never used down and I know moisture can be an issue. Just want to make sure I won't trap moisture in the fill.

I personally never had body moisture really effecting my down quilts. That said I use dwr both sides on almost all quilts. I believe good manufacturers do the same. Only exception was prototypes with walmart material.
