    hello from wales uk

    hia just wanted hello .

im in north wales uk , im not new hammocking i was into it a few years ago , me an the lads did some trips , but because of lack of knowledge an technique we ended up carrying too much weight an got COLD (no under quilts).
iv moved back into tents , but i just dont like sleeping on the ground and having tasted the joys of the hammock i want more .
i found shug's videos on youtube an then discovered this forum an its font of hammock knowledge.
i like making my own gear , partly because im a bit tight like that but mainly because i love making things, taking things apart an finding out how things work.
anyhow looking forward to many hours looking an all your gear an tutorials.

Welcome Ben you will find that this is the right place to learn all about hammock hanging and DIY projects. Take a look around a bit and you will find many differnet options and ways to stay warm in a hammock.

Welcome to the forum! SO much good stuff here (TOO much good stuff here, actually ). If you're looking for good info, the stickies and articles are a great place to start, and if you have any questions there are a whole lot of brilliant, friendly people.

Hope to hear about your adventures soon!
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

    Welcome, Benjamman.

I remember Wales as a beautiful country. Lots of variation in scenery, from coastline to forest. I hope to return one day.

    Welcome to the community.

Welcome to the forums!! I sure loved the bits of northern Wales that I saw and hiked a few years back (Snowdonia and parts east and southeast of there). Lovely area and very welcoming people!
