Oh, and for those considering horizontal pockets (should you make something like this), I was going to use drawstring or bungie, but I found it unnecessary due to the rubber like PU coating on this material. Stuff doesn't want to fall out when it's in the pockets. If you make horizontal pockets out of something more slippery like Sil, I would recommend angling them and/or having some sort of closure to keep stuff from dropping out and bopping you in the head.

Great idea and job!
Seeing your posts this afternoon made me haul out the thread injector when I got home. I've been putting off making a small pillow and you gave me the nudge to go ahead and do it.
Nothing fancy, but now I have a 1' square pillow with a built-in shock cord. No more having to search for where it has slid. Just clip the shock cord to the ridge line and it will always be near the head end of the hammock.

Bags and pockets and stuff are great practice before tackling bigger jobs. I'm working up to tarps and hammocks and especially quilts. I have many ideas, I just need to learn *how* to make them happen.Originally Posted by tiger1dd
Funny you mention that, that was supposed to be tonights project, but I got out of work late. My plan was to make a 6" tall, but 18" wide pillow with a mitten hook or something so I could hang it like a peak bag. I keep waking up with my pillow at my lower back (comfy and warm for the back, not so much for the neck). My pillow is white JoAnne ripstop with some recycled IX folded up in it.
