Thanks for the morning giggle.

My table saw (with extended "wings") is my default work bench. It works well since it's just above belt height on me, and I can throw some plywood on it if I need to work on XL projects.

The floor in front of the saw is my tarp making area...since I epoxy'd the floor and I try to shop-vac it weekly to keep it clean enough to crawl around on.

That thought has crossed my mind as well. I was thinking about a modification to the WBBB shelf that would basically be a holster/pocket. But CCW isn't allowed in Illinois, so it was just wishful thinking.

Its not considered concealed if you can see it. You could have the grip of the weapon out where it would be very accessable, say like, where you have the knife and flashlight now. I would move the knife and go with a holster light combo on that end. I went easy and bought a 3 dollar mesh bag at bi mart and used and old, Uncle Mikes kydex holster, hung horizontally by the tension screws. It stay right where i want because i tied knots on each side so i can draw it very quickly if needed. We got bears/cougars where i hunt/hang here in the great pacific northwest so a gun is always within arms reach. Great idea though. A lot more sophisticated then mine. LOL

You clearly have never had to deal with IL law.

Seriously, the law reads in such a way, that you can only take your firearm to and from the range, and it must be in a case designed for transporting weapons, and of course unloaded. It has been suggested that one could be arrested for stopping for milk with a cased weapon in the car, because you aren't *only* transporting it to and from the range.

There is no open carry here, that's for sure. Hell, I'd get in trouble with a knife blade that's 3.5"

I've been thinking of adding a little pocket to the top of the shelf so I could drop little things in the little pocket within reach instead "off the cliff" where I've got to sit up and reach way over to fish around for them at the bottom of the shelf.

Anyone tried something like that?

LOVE the shelf for bigger stuff like clothes, throw blankets, but not so much for little things.

Very cool organizer. The water bottle idea is killer, hadn't thought of that. Always liked the pistol pocket that Clark mentions. If you can't handle IL gun laws, you are most welcome to bring your guns to Missouri...we have concealed carry but I always felt an honest man wears it on his hip!
