I have one of these as well, and it looks (at first glance) to be an old-school air mattress, with longitudinal air-inflated tubes. But it also has a layer of synthetic insulation bonded to the underside of the upper surface and is rated to (I believe) +15 degF.
Because of its design, I believe it will curl into the bottom of the hammock more readily that a Thermorest or other self-inflator. That is a plus in my book.
The only downside I see is that it is only 20" wide, as memory serves. So when it curls around your body it might not insulate as much as would be desired.
